Doug WrayBorn: January 22, 1935 in Dunn, North Carolina

Biography: “Goosebumps” on “Scotty ” records in 1961. Drummer for Link Wray and part of the Wraymen band for over 25 years. He played drums on all Link Wray’s hits including “Rumble”, “Rawhide”, and “Jack The Ripper”. Doug Wray was one of the best drummers of rock ‘n’ roll in the 50′s and 60′s. Played on over 1500 recordings from 1951 until his passing in 1981.

Current Status: Passed on in 1981.

Inducted: September 11, 2007 at the First Annual Inductions Awards Ceremony in Oklahoma, City, OK. Beth Wray Webb received the induction for her uncle Doug Wray.
